Second posting - Central Park/chocolate

At this point, I think I am basically talking to myself. Not sure how folks find my blog, unless someone already has one through Google. I suppose I can also tell more people....

Anyway, there are about 3 weeks left until my first race of the season in Central Park -- March Madness Biathlon (run 2mi/bike 12mi/run 2mi). Shouldn't be too bad, although snowy and busy weekends, combined with the ease and convenience of a corporate fitness center, have kept me more indoors than outdoors. My goal is to beat my October time of 1hr 14min... This will be my last race in my age bracket -- April birthday -- but it's hard to say whether this or the next one is more competitive.

One interesting thought from the woman who sits next to me -- chocolate companies should come out with a Husband Assortment in which a small bite is taken out of each piece to show what's really inside. Assumption is that the guide (if there is one) really doesn't help when the pieces look so similar. I wouldn't be so into the "bite" aspect, but it might be cool to see a cutaway shape.

Have a great weekend. NATHAN

First posting

Welcome!

This is it...my first posting. I figured I should probably join the rest of you on the hi tech parkway (parkways are better than highways -- no trucks).

I haven't yet figured out what my Blog's going to be about. I suppose it will just evolve, right?

My interests are pretty broad. I like to bike (road), and I ride with Connecticut's Sound Cyclists. I also like to eat -- who doesn't? -- and I enjoy thinking about food. If I can call myself an amateur foodie, then that's what I am. Consequently, I work for a big food company, so I do get to blend the work and non-work interests sometimes. I also find it hard to keep still -- and have never been called a couch potato.

Those are some nuggets about me. More later... NATHAN
